Meaningful and essential connection between human beings during their hardships, transitions, and celebrations is more vital, relevant, and important than ever.

For the past 25 years, I’ve had the honor of working in community-oriented counseling and higher education as a:

• Hospice Chaplain and Director of Spiritual Care

• Associate Director of Youth and Family Programs

• Counselor in Community Mental Health

• Mentor in Transitional Programs

• Assistant Professor and Director of a Graduate Counseling Program

• Co-Founder and Executive Director of a Life-Transitions start-up for teens, young adults, and families

For the past seven years, I’ve lived and worked at Stanford University as a Teacher, Mentor, Educational Consultant, and Resident Fellow.

The thread running through all these meaningful roles, for me, has been the incredible privilege of helping people with the opportunity to:

• Grow and deepen awareness

• Learn compassionate communication

• Reduce stress

• Increase authenticity

• Cultivate innate wisdom

• Promote healthy balance

• Integrate these insights into enhanced individual and shared wellbeing towards the good of all

In addition to my work with clients, I’ve taught (or am teaching) these graduate and undergraduate courses:

• Advanced Counseling Practice

• Counseling Field Experience Seminar

• Human Development and Family Relationships

• The Psychology of Aging

• Counseling Older Adults and Their Families

• Stanford Loves: The Theory and Practice of Conscious Relationships

• A Purposeful Life in College and Beyond

• The Psychology of Architecture

Some of my recent publications include the evolution of psychotherapy and cultivating wisdom throughout our lives.
